Book Blogger Hop/Follow Friday (11)

In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop  is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and find new book-related blogs that we may be missing out on! This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs that they may not know existed!

Each week, participating blogs are asked questions to post and answer on their websites.

This week's question comes from Alex who blogs at Geek on the Brink:
"What do you consider the most important in a story: the plot or the characters?

Hmmm, well definitely the plot when I'm first hearing of a book, but when I'm actually reading a book, it just depends... If I'm reading a more contemporary novel, I look more closely at the characters, and in a fantasy/paranormal/whatever else, I look more at plot, but that doesn't mean to say that they don't have both! I think that they're both as important as each other.

Carmel is studying web design... What did you study in college, or are currently studying and did it lead to your current 9 to 5 or are you doing something totally different?

Umm... I'm still in High school... But there I'm doing music, history, graphics (as well as english, science, maths, R.E, but we don't get a choice about those.) I think I'm probably going to end up doing something completely different.~

Book Blogger hop is hosted by Crazy For Books, and Follow My Book Blog Friday is hosted by Parajunkee.

  6. Hi Cicely :)
I agree with your point about the genre of a book. I think with contemp, the pace is slower, so there's more character development going on.
