Waiting on Wednesday #14

Other Words for Love
Lorraine Zago Rosenthal
Janurary 11th
When an unexpected inheritance enables Ari to transfer to an elite Manhattan prep school, she makes a wealthy new friend, Leigh. Leigh introduces Ari to the glamorous side of New York--and to her gorgeous cousin, Blake. Ari doesn't think she stands a chance, but amazingly, Blake asks her out. As their romance heats up, they find themselves involved in an intense, consuming relationship. Ari's family worries that she is losing touch with the important things in life, like family, hard work, and planning for the future.

When misfortune befalls Blake's family, he pulls away, and Ari's world drains of color. As she struggles to get over the breakup, Ari must finally ask herself: were their feelings true love . . . or something else? (goodreads)

Other Words for Love sounds really good, and I've been having a bit of a phase for books that have no paranormal creatures in them at all. No, there is not something wrong with me, it's just that my eyes have been opened to the world of romance without the supernatural and it is not half as bad as I though it was. In fact, I was rather fond of it,a  and I'm eager to read more. This book sounds perfect for feeding my recent fixation. :D

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine.

  4. Nice WoW pick! Certainly sounds interesting...and I totally understand about the "non-paranormal" choice; it's good to change things up now and then. Happy reading!

  7. I have been stuck in the paranormal for quite a while and have been trying to find something to pull me out even just once and this sounds like it might be the one to do it.
