In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and find new book-related blogs that we may be missing out on! This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs that they may not know existed!
Each week, participating blogs are asked questions to post and answer on their websites.
"If you find a book that looks interesting but is part of a series, do you always start with the first title?"
Yes. I don't like starting from the middle of something, I get confused. I do the same thing with T.V shows though.

This week’s question
What is you usual monthly book budget?
Well, I don't usually get more then £15 a month... It's not enough :(
Book Blogger hop is hosted by Crazy For Books, and Follow My Book Blog Friday is hosted by Parajunkee.
Hopping through and now following you! Because I'm a college student, it is really hard for me to spend money on non school related things.
ReplyDeleteBTW: I'm team Ash, and Team Peeta as well =D
Hopped in to say hi and wish you a great weekend
ReplyDeleteHey! I'm an old follower just stopping by on the hop to wish you a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI get confused as well if I start in the middle of a series but it does happen... just not on purpose! I figure it out when I find myself completely lost.

Hopping through. Old follower. I hadn't thought of TV shows. I've often started in the middle of a series and been confused for a long time.

Happy Friday!! I am now following :)

I try to start at the beginning of a series when I can and my book budget is so tiny LOL Good thing I keep finding literary treasures in my mailbox!!
ReplyDeleteI can dive right into the middle of a book series if the series' story
ReplyDeletedoesn't run chronologically.
That is to say, if each novel in a series is a stand-alone story (like Lee
Child's Reacher novels) then I don't feel the need to start with book one.
On the other hand, a series of books (like Richard Hatch's Battlestar
Galactica novels) can't be read out of sequence since each new book builds
upon the story of the previous entry in the series.
Happy Book Blogger Hop Friday!
